Very Sad News

I'm very saddened to inform you,

Walter Lynch passed away this afternoon, due to Covid.

Walter has gone thru hell the last few years.

Coming down with Guillain-Barré syndrome in approximately

June 2015, he has fought like a champion to overcome it.

He was in an Oklahoma City VA Nursing Home.

Last year, his wife Barbara, died of a combination of Covid and Heart Related Problems.

This week, Walter was taken to the hospital and he was being treated for COVID. Sadly, he passed away this afternoon.

Walter was trying to get himself prepared to attend our upcoming Reunion, but he told me a few months ago, he simply didn't have the strength to attend.

Please keep the Lynch Family in your thoughts and prayers.

Due to COVID, the family held a private funeral service for Walter.
Walter, you will be missed.

MY friend WALTER LYNCH was  my friend.    I remember him during the ENROUTE years with his USAF partner FREDDY GARRISON.   The first time I saw him after I left ENROUTE in 1985 was at the ENROUTE REUNION in 2001 in St Louis.  And the last time was in MAY of 2009 in this photo.  We stayed in touch via phone for many years.  I met his wife BARBARA in 2001..   He was bless with a good loving wife who cared for him.   Barbara, passed away  from COVID last year and it took a toll on him with him fighting many years of “Guillain-Barré syndrome”…  So WALTER & BARBARA, take care & have a pleasant  journey, I  believe you’re in a better place.  Us USAF-ENROUTERS will miss you both.  “RIP.!”
