My beloved brother, Efren, passed away due to complications of cancer on November 24, 2006.
He had a zest for life and loved to laugh.
He is missed dearly.
met Efren through friends when i moved back to Guam in 99. Didn't really dawn on me that he was Laurie's younger brother. I'll remember him just being a nice, sincere, down to earth kinda guy. He had a great smile and was very friendly. He was surprised that I was classmates with Laurie. When I found out he passed, I was heartbroken. Such a young, happy, carefree guy, who's life was unnecessarily cut short. But I'm glad I got to have met him and can definitely count him as a really great friend! Efren, you are now dancing with angels!!
I had the pleasure of working with him at Denny's at Inn on the Bay when it first opened in Agat. He and I opened the restaurant and became very good friends right away. He was a joy to be around. He always gave a lending hand whether it be at work, at school, or even when I needed a friend to talk to. He was always there making me laugh and making my day a little brighter when I had a bad day. When I first heard he had passed away, I couldn't hold back the tears..he was such a wonderful, caring, big hearted person. He had a personality you couldn't resist. I truly miss him although I know his journey on earth was cut short, but the Lord took him to a better place. I will always remember his great big smile and laughter that filled the room and my heart. You are missed very dearly, my friend..Efren.
Sorry I haven't visited you in a while but don't worry now that your god daughter Aryssa will be going to Jose Rios this coming August I'll be stopping by often to see you.
