Sedrick and I go a long way back, he lived on the West end of Wells Ave., once Cherry Lane (dirt road then) and I on the East end. He always had to pass my house to get to Flintside where we attended Elementary School and the Flintside play grounds where everyone that lived in that area came to hang-out and play ; as we got older he would play baseball with the older gang, you see, they alowed him to play because he was good. I considered him to be Dark, Tall and Funny. They were well known because of his dad and had one of what I considered to be a nice home. He was spoiled and rotten in a sweet kind of way. I did not see him much over the past twenty years, I did talk with him several times concerning the Reunions, always had a positive attitude but could not attend at that time. I will keep the memories of Sedrick more from our childhood because that is the most time we shared together. Three Cheers Sedrick for Flintside. River Road and Monroe, Janice

Sedrick always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help.  He was part of a great family and they were one of the prominent black families in our area.  I often went to the gas station that they owned just to hangout and pass my day.  He loved motorcycles and I had the fortunante experience of riding it, one of my first experiences of riding a motorcycle.  He was always positive and he will be missed.
