Gwendolyn Morris (Thompson)

You were my first high school sweetheart. When I think about you I always remember that smile. You were always so happy and cheerful about everything. My eyes are teary just sitting here writing this comment. Rest in peace Ricky. I will always remember you.

Elton Edwards

We were lap babies together. We had sleep overs. From grade 1 through 12, we were each others biggest supporters. We were competitors in every aspect of the word. We join the U.S. Army on the buddy plan in August of 1974. We wrote letters to each other from Korea and Germany in 1975 just to say hello and to keep in touch. We literally gave each other the shirts off our backs. I remember the day that I heard you had passed and I remember a feeling of emptiness. My mother was on duty at the hospital the night your body was brought in and she asked what was the name of the person that had expired, she was told Rickey McKinney and she immediately knew that I would be devastated and did not tell me right away. Our families were so close and so were you and I. You are my very best friend and none has been able to match the chemistry that we had. You are my very best friend and I often think about you, I will never forget you. I salute you and I love you like a brother. Your friend and brother Elton Gregory "PECK" Edwards.
