Thomas Jefferson High School
Class of 1966, '67, 68, '69
ANNOUNCEMENTS

After teaching Sunday School for 44 years now, I wrote a "how to" book about the adventure. It's on Amazon and all the online book sellers, in softcover or Kindle. The title is "How To Be The SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER They Remember." It was written to energize current teachers and inspire others to join this vital local church ministry. Please tell your pastor about it. Maybe the pastor will want one for every SS teacher in your church. --Walt Atkins, TJHS Class of 1968

I've received a message from Leonard Pennington about a class ring:

My dad found a class ring around 30-40 years ago. Now trying to find owner, It is 1966 Thomas Jefferson High School,Inside it has i think intals M. T or F and P. I think its a man ring.I live in Lexington,Va.

So, if you lost yours or know of someone with the initials he indicates, you can get in touch with him directly or through me.

Nick Proferes (admin)

I have a 1965 TJHS Yearbook that belongs to Catherine "Cathy" Flynn, class of 1968.

If you know of her, I sure would like to return this book.

Many thanks,

To the class of 1969.  If you are planning a 50 year reunion this year, you might want to get busy organising something.  Even if you only plan a small get-together for people who live locally, from my experience, you can't start too early.  Several people have started and set up a Facebook page but not everyone uses Facebook.  You can use this site to start contacting people and keep communications up.

Nick

Quite a number of photos from the reunion events are now on the site, espeically for those who couldn't make it along.

I've added a photo gallery to the site.  First set just some random scans from the 1966 yearbook so you can see how it works.  You can do your own scans and load them up, an administrator will be advised and need to set them "live" so all can see them.

I've uploaded scans from the 1991 Reunion booklet for the class of 1966 to the photo gallery, there is a link in the yellow box on the left which will take you to it.  I'm aware quite a number did not choose to get the book or have lost it over the years.  It was our last reunion.
