Bob, born 19 September 1971, battled Evan's Syndrome (a rare blood disorder) at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI from 20 October 2011 until 30 November 2011, passing away at 10:30 pm at 40 years of age.  He had been diagnosed four years earlier with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).  

He was a student at Culinary Institute of Michigan, scheduled to graduate in 2012.  He is survived by his wife of five years, Cathy, and two daughters: Jenn and Sammy.
