Dennis Michael Carruthers, 50, of Allegan, MI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home. Born September 14, 1970 in Allegan, he was the son of Kitty (McDougald) Carruthers and the late Eugene Carruthers. Dennis was a loyal, hardworking man. He had worked for Haworth for seven years and as a painter for Rivertown Construction for fifteen years. In his spare time, Dennis loved being outdoors hunting small game, target shooting and playing cornhole. He also enjoyed cutting wood for use in his woodworking projects or building campfires. Above all else, however, Dennis’ greatest joy was his family. They were the most important part of his life, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Kitty, Dennis is survived by his children, Katlynn (Scott) Hoekstra, Sonya (Ronnie) Carruthers and Ryan (Isabel) Carruthers; brothers, Patrick (Kathy) Carruthers and Sean Carruthers; granddaughter, Lilliana Hoekstra; nephews, Aaron Carruthers and Steven Carruthers; niece, Ava Carruthers; and cousin, Dean (Lisa) Carruthers.
