Richard E. Labarre, 37, of 1721 Illingsworth Ave., Salisbury Township, died Thursday in a garage at 1725 Illingsworth Ave.

Labarre was self-employed in radio communications.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Donald E. and Marion (Fuenfstueck) Labarre.

He was an Army veteran.

He was chief and rescue captain at the former River Road Fire Co. in Salisbury Township, now part of the Eastern Salisbury Fire, Ambulance and Rescue Company. Labarre had been a member of River Road since 1969.

Survivors: Brothers, George F. of Springtown and Donald D. of Bethlehem.
