Richard Nehring, 64, of Alpena died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.  He was born on April 6, 1950 in Alpena.

Richard was born in Alpena to Leonard & Shirley (Cripps) Nehring and had been a life-long resident of Alpena, living a very simple life.

Surviving is a brother, Douglas Nehring of Alpena, a step-daughter, Laura (Darl) Schellie of Alpena and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A gathering will be held at McWilliams Funeral Home, Alpena, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 4-8 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made to the Huron Humane Society or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Alpena.  On-line condolences may be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com.
