Bruce Edward Wenzel died at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida on September 24, 2014.  He was born on November 9, 1949 in Rogers City, MI.   He was the son of Melvin & Grace Wenzel, brother to Douglas Wenzel and was raised on Grand Lake in Sandy Bay. 

In 1977, he married his loving and devoted wife, Janine.  They had 2 children, a daughter, Jennifer and son, Christopher. 

Bruce had a passion for life and never met a stranger.  He was a superb chef and gregarious host.  Bruce was an amazing father and grandfather, a wonderful husband and friend  He was an outdoor enthusiast, world traveler, and avid angler.  Some of Bruce's favorite places were Walkers Cay and Islamorada. 

In honor of his memory, a memorial will be held later this year in the islands and also at Presque Isle Harbor in the summer of 2015.  Memorial donations may be made in Bruce's name to the Stroke Recovery Wing at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
