Barbara A. Smith, age 52, of 1407 Wayne Rd., Alpena, MI, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family Sat., March 15, 2003. 

Barbara A. Minnick was born on Dec. 9, 1950, to the late Raymond and Vina (Dulea) Minnick in Alpena.  She married Michael J. Smith on Nov. 6, 1971, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Alpena. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael; three children; two grandchildren; her mother-in-law, June Smith; three brothers and three sisters and and half-sister; a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth R. Minnick. 

Vistitation was at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2003. 

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
