Ronald Lee Zarske, 66, of Alpena, MI, died Thursday December 1, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center - Alpena. 

Ron was born December 6, 1949 in Alpena to Gustav and Pauline (Johnson) Zarske and except for time spent with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a life-long resident of the Alpena area.  He married Kathy Meixner on April 13, 1991, in Alpena.  Ron spent his entire career working for the City of Alpena in the Dept. of Public Works retiring after 38 1/2 yrs. of service. 

Surviving is his loving wife of 25 yrs., Kathy, four children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 sisters.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Mr. Zarske has been taken for cremation by McWilliams Funeral Home - Alpena.   A gathering of family and friends will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday December 16, 2016, at the Alpena Sportsman's Club.  On-line concolences may be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com
