Janice Marie Nowicki, 68, of Alpena, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Janice Nicholson was born July 10, 1950, in Alpena to the late William and Thelma (Rouleau) Nicholson.  On November 29, 1969, she married Gerald Nowicki.  Janice graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management and accounting from Lake Superior State University with Magna cum Laude 4.0 honors.  She worked at Giantway for many years and then was the district supervisor for the Advertiser.  

Surviving are her husband, Gerald; two sons, four grandchildren, four siblings, and several nieces and nephews.  Janice was preceded in death by two children, Ginger Marie Nowicki and Scott Richard Nowicki and a brother, Richard Nicholson. 

Bannan Funeral Home took care of her burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
