Jay died 3 years ago Feb 13, 2008 which happens to be my birthday. Jay and I were always good friends. In fact, I was his best man when he married his college sweetheart in Little Rock, Ark. He had 2 sons from that marriage.
Jay graduated from U of Arkansas in Fayatteville with BS and later graduated from law school from the same University.
He lived, practiced law, and was a judge while living in Fayetteville.
He was divorced after 25 years from 1st wife and remarried a short time later. His 2nd wife was a Fayetteville, Ark attorney, also, and they raised 4 children before his death caused by a brain tumor.
A year before his death Wendell MeAfoos and I drove to Fayetteville and picked up Jay to Hot Springs, Ark to watch the horse run which was one of Jay's loves. He won $200 and he was very proud of the fact he won and Wendell and I lost.
It was a great trip and three 65 year old men were 16 again.
