 The Class of 64

Now  that we’re older, lost all our hair, many years ago
Our memories are fading,  time is flying by
Our  body’s aching,  and we  don’t know why.

When we get together it all rushes back, like opening a door
All of the good times, all of the wild times
The Class of ‘64

Painting the rock, the dances and games,
the fun times that went down,
Field trips, the cemetery, tournaments,
The Artic Circle and cruising downtown

Crew cuts and  Brylcream, Stretch pants and pegged jeans,
Chadwick’s  Department store,
All of the good times, all of the wild times,
The Class of 64

Hiding a 6 pack, sneaking a smoke, dodging all the cops,
Moving pipe, hooky-bobbin’, cutting class,
Letterman Jackets,  and silly Sock hops.

Sleeping in study hall, lunch in the gym, and parking until 4
All of the good times, all of the wild times,
The Class of 64

All of the wisdom that we have gained from Rowland, Hale, and Bell,
Loula,  Reed, and Anderson, and Holyoak,
 Hayhurst , Kugler….we all did so well…

Sweet and Van Orden, Finis and Schiess  and  many, many more
All of the good times, all of the wild times,
The Class of 64

When we were young, life without care, many years ago,
We thought we all had problems then
But didn’t at all….what little did we know

Now we have lived long lives of our own, we couldn’t ask for more
All of the good times, all of the wild times,
 The Class of 64
