Mr Thomas Keith Steiner, 37

Anchorage Daily News (AK) - Wednesday, August 31, 1988 Thomas Keith Steiner, 37, a racing enthusiast, died Aug. 28 at Humana HospitalAlaska.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Beth Bingham of First Congregational Church officiating. After the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Fur Rondy Palace, 737 W. Fifth Ave.
Mr. Steiner was born Dec. 21, 1950, in Anchorage, and graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1969. As a teenager, he worked as a motorcycle mechanic and racer for Anchorage Cycle Sales. He was employed by the state Department of Transportation the past 17 years and was equipment superintendent for the Southcentral region.
Throughout his life he enjoyed different kinds of racing competition, with motorcycle racing being his favorite. He was an outdoors enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing hockey.
Mr. Steiner leaves his wife, Marilin, and daughter Sandra Steiner, both of Chugiak; his parents, Tom and Clara, and his brother, Rod, all of Anchorage; and his sisters, Ronda Dodd, of Homer, and Lisa and Tracy Steiner, both of Anchorage. He was preceded in death by his brother David in 1986.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 2330 E. 42nd Ave., Anchorage 99504. Service arrangements were by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
