John Anthony "Tony" Walls, 61, of Hilo died Jan. 31 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Alaska, he was a retired floral designer for Barb's Florist. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday at United Community Church. Celebration of life to follow from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Coconut Willy's and Baker Tom's located at Uncle Billy's Hotel, 87 Banyan Drive. Survived by parents, John W. Walls and Barbara Jean Rand Walls of Hilo; son, John Kyle Walls of Alaska; daughter Megan Lee Walls of Hilo; brothers, George (Jenna) Walls of Hakalau and Rand T. Walls of Hilo; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements by Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.
