Shawn was originally a member of the class of '69 but left school in the fall of '68, I think, for the rest of the year.  I don't remember the reason, he was encouraged to leave by one of the Vice Principles.  He started back in the fall of '69 a year behind, but by that time the new Southern High had opened and everyone not already a senior that lived on our side of the bridge started going to Southern.  He was on the football team junior and senior years there and made many friends in his new school.

I  saw him periodically over the years and he once again became a neighbor for several years near Chesapeake Beach in the '80s.  He got me out of a lot of jams in high school days, more than he got me into.  We had a lot of crazy times and adventures together, beginning in the 8th grade.
