TUCKER, DAWN  D.     July 30, 1951- August 14, 2013

Dawn was so very special and touched the hearts and lives of so many people throughout her life.  Born in Baltimore, her family moved to Annapolis when she was a child.  Dawn married Tom Conner from Catonsville on October 16th 1976 and moved to Calvert County in 1977.  A diverse woman with many interests, Dawn loved the outdoors, fly-fishing, hiking, ATV riding, Kayaking and especially her farm and West Virginia family.  Dawn was just as comfortable however, dressing up and going to the best venues in town.  As a Speech/Language Pathologist and Reading Specialist, her passion for helping others extended to private practice, Head Start and the public schools in both Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties.  Her husband, Tom Conner; son, Evan Conner and his wife, Ruth; granddaughter Maia Conner along with her brothers, Drew and Tim Tucker will remember her always as a very special person.  Dawn will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to have known her.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00am in Grace Brethren Church of Calvert County.  Donations can be made in her honor to either Grace Brethren Church of Calvert County, New Church Plant Fund, 2870 Old Solomons Island Road, Owings, MD 20736 or to Calvert Hospice: P.O. box 838, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.

Dawn was my very first date which i remember so well. I was a nervous wreck. She was an incredible, beautiful young woman who lit up any room and I can still hear her wonderful laughter. Great energy. Definitely way out of my league back then but she went out with me!!! I didn't even have a car. Went to dinner with my sister and brother in law at the chinese restaurant across from the Navy Stadium.

I still get a real chuckle thinking about a the whole thing.

I'm sure she grew into a darling woman, wife and mother.

I also have very fond memories of Dawn! Wow...this is such a shock. And Dennis...I too went out with her though as a pal. Neither of us had a date for the junior prom so we went together, with her brother Drew, and had a blast! Was such a great evening as there was no normal prom night smoochie romance....just 2 pals dancing and enjoying the evening. Wish I could have seen her as a "grown up"!
