Wes grew up on the farm, and later on took a path that led him all the way to owning his own Engineering firm. W.J. Higgins Inc. in Wausau, WI. Wes was a man that was deeply respected in the field of engineering, with customers all over the USA. He was called in on many very complex, and detailed projects that required his expertise in the field of fenestration.
He also ran a hobby farm near his home in Marathon City, WI just west of Wausau, WI. He harvested the hay off of some small fields that I own near Wausau, and used that hay to feed his beef cattle. He often told me that he really loved farming, and it put him at 'peace' when he worked on his farm.
This photo was taken by one of my field cameras when wes was harvesting the hay in 2017. He tragically died of Heart failure in 2018. His son Travis now runs his Engineering firm. He left a legacy that many will not match. God rest your soul Wes. You were a very talented, and humble man of few words. I will miss you & your freindship for many years.
