Arlington High School Class of 75 - 50 Year Reunion!

September 26 to 28, 2025

Sept. 26, Friday  Come gather casually at Peggy Kinnane’s Irish Restaurant & Pub, 8 N. Vail Ave., A.H. https://peggykinnanes.com  Reserved Area:  6 p.m. until 9 p.m.   Cost: Individual cash pay for food & drinks.

Sept. 27, Saturday

Walk the halls of Arlington High School!   Christian Liberty Academy, 502 W. Euclid Ave., A.H.   Time: During the day, but exact time yet to be determined by the Academy

Reunion buffet dinner and more at Old Orchard Country Club, 700 W Rand Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056 Time: 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Cost: $75 per person (see payment instructions below).  Includes dinner buffet of champagne chicken, sliced beef w/au jus, potato, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and coffee station.  Live music by Joe and Mary Priessing. Cash bar.

The evening will include emcee/comedy by our classmate Kathy Sheehan.  One raffle ticket per paid classmate. Raffle donations by: Nancy Gardner – Original painting of a gorgeous cardinal, Mary Conley – Original beautiful watercolor and Etsy shop Made on Maude – (Christine Kappelman ‘85 alum) – AHS Embroidered sweatshirt.

Sept. 28, Sunday – Meet on your own, walk around town visiting old haunts, spend time with friends or family!  South Jr Hi grads: a breakfast venue may be identified to meet up with friends who went to RMHS.

Payment – Payment must be received (not mailed) by September 10, 2025.  Three payment options are available for the registration cost of $75.00 per person:

All electronic payments and checks will be deposited in an AHS reunion account at PNC Bank, held jointly by Laurie Waldin Leeds and Alane Davidheiser Frakes.

Note:  Payment cannot be refunded once final count has been made to Old Orchard.  Sorry! No Walk-Ins or Pay-at-the-Door will be allowed on Saturday night.

If you have any memorabilia you would like to share, we will have bins available Friday so items can be displayed at Old Orchard Country Club on Saturday.    MARK THEM WELL!!! Retrieve your item(s) when you leave the country club. Club and Committee are not liable for any lost or missing items.

EDITED ANNOUNCEMENT!! APOLOGIES!!

Hey y'all! 

We we are 49 days away from gathering for our 50 year reunion!  It's hard to believe, we know, but here we are!  !We are expecting over 100 classmates plus some spouses based on those who have already paid and those who RSVP'd in the Spring that they would attend.  Classmates are for sure coming from CA, WA, UT, CO, AZ, NV, OK, IA, IN, WI, MN, OH, MA, CT, VA, NC, SC, GA, and FL!  If you still call the northwest suburbs or Illinois home, it sure would be great to see you!!  Don't be kicking yourself at the end of September that you didn't attend!

Here's a few things

Please let us know whether we should be expecting to see you on Friday and/or Saturday nights. (Since no reservations are required for Friday night, this will help Peggy Kinnane's plan for our group.)  You can let us know about both nights by clicking on this link:  Friday &/or Saturday Nights

Saturday 11am-1pm Walk the halls! Open to us will be the library, gymnasiums, and enter a classroom. (they didn’t specify which classroom)

If you haven't already sent in your $75 reservation/payment for Saturday night dinner at Old Orchard, please do so today!  Payments must be received using Zelle or Paypal by September 10.  If you choose to U.S. mail a check, please plan to have your check in the mail no later than September 3.  Specifics regarding how to make payments are in the attached flier.

Saturday night is shaping up to be so much fun!  Some have asked about appropriate attire.  Old Orchard says they are bringing a country club environment to the general public and tasteful denim may be permitted.  We suspect most will wear dressy casual but if you want to go dressier, go for it!  The evening will include:

Music of our era from our era by Joe and Mary Preissing (classmate Wally's siblings).

Stand up comedy by our own Kathy Sheehan!

Door prizes including three STUNNING Cardinal oil paintings by classmate Nancy Gardner Bermann; a lovely watercolor by classmate Mary Conley Simmons; spirit-gear from AHS alum Christine Kapplemann  a red and white hand-crocheted afghan; and red and white beaded bracelets from class of '69 alum Paula Van Dellen.

A table of memorabilia shared by you!  (Bring what you have Friday evening and we'll display it Saturday evening.)

Last, but not least, FUN AND LAUGHTER!

South Jr. High alums can meet up on Sunday with other South alums that went to Rolling Meadows High School.  Meeting location is Rep's Place (sports bar), 3200 Kirchoff Rd, Rolling Meadows at noon.
