Jayne Smith Whitaker, 55, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Clark Regional Hospital. She was born March 28, 1962 to Jackie Smith and the late R.D. Smith in Ashland, KY. She was 16 year resident of Mt. Sterling. She was a clerk for the Kentucky Cabinet for Family Resources, an Accountant for Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, KY and a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority at Morehead State University. 

She is survived by her husband, Bill H. Whitaker of Mt. Sterling, KY; one sister, Patty (Tim) Baker of Ashland, KY; and one nephew, Jeremy Smith of Ashland, KY.

She is preceded in death by her father, R.D. Smith.
