Graduated from UCSB in 1967, then worked as a social worker, which was a disaster since I ignored the regulations and just gave people money, especially the gypsies. I was a hippie in the Haight Ashbury, then moved to Mt Shasta where I lived 8 bucolic years when my daughters were little. Back to school to get my MS in Counseling Psychology at U of Oregon, then to Mill Valley for 8 years working as a psychotherapist, fun years as a single mom in the 80s while my girls were in elementary school. Got my doctorate in psychology from Pacific University in 1991, had a psychotherapy clinic in Marin Co for 15 years, built a house in Lake County where I lived on 108 acres for 12 years. Retired in 2007, then began two charities to help women victims of sexual violence in DR Congo, which I still run. Most recently, I have reconnected with a number of MA girls who are helping me raise funds, in conjunction with Rotary International, for a big project in eastern Congo. Getting to know these awesome women again, and some really for the first time, has been a true gift. I have learned that the greatest joy in life is to give, and that good relationships are the secret to happiness. What else? I'm single, an enneagram 7, and a Burner.

Hi Kathy, long time no see. I heard you almost made it to our last Oak Knoll Reunion. You'll have to come next time, because it's really fun to reconnect with all our old friends. After all these years, we hold each other in such sweet regard--it's worth the effort to be there.
I also see that you're living in Tucson, one of my favorite places--I love how they use cacti to landscape and rake the sand in their front yards. How long since you relocated from Michigan, was it? I still live in CA, right now in the Suisun marsh, the largest estuary in the US, which stretches from the Carquinas Straits to Sacramento. I only mention it, because no one, including me, knows it exists, and it's awesome--a wildlife area full of birds, animals, elk, and lots of tules. I'm living with the love of my life, who I found a year ago after 70 years of looking. Life is full of surprises. I'd love to hear more about your life and what you are doing now. And hopefully, meet you again if not at the reunion, sometime if and when you come to CA. Warmly, Vicki
