James Bernard Stoddard was born May 22, 1944 in San Francisco. At M-A Jim played water polo, football, baseball and was on the Block M-A commission. Jim was an insurance broker. He died January 29, 2003 in San Carlos at age 58. His wife is Catherine Stoddard of San Carlos; they had two children together. Jim wrote at our 30-year reunion, that "the keys to success is a life time of understanding and giving to others."

After our 40th reunion, Ethel Erickson Daly sent out a notice: "Jim Stoddard died on Wednesday January 29 from his fight against cancer. We saw him in October at the 40th reunion and dinner which was the last time for many of us. He was a good friend, always there if needed and always interested in what life had in store for his friends and family. He will be missed."
