After graduating in 1980, I went to Bermuda, where I met my husband John. We have traveled to several different places including Iceland. I have been married for 28 years. Have a daughter that is 24, Tiffany. I have my degree in Administration of Justice, but I also have my teaching degree. I am currently teaching 5th grade in Gulfport, Mississippi.

School Story:

I have searched through many stories but have finally narrowed it down to this one:
We were at the High School can't remember what grade though- I made an "F" on my report card but was not about to show my parents. Cheryl James worked in the office as a helper and I asked her to help an old friend out. Cheryl borrowed (stole) a report card and I filled in the grades that I wanted my parents to see. Of course, this is the report card that they would have to see the rest of the year!!! Anyway, someone would sign the REAL report card before I had to return it to the teacher. I took out both report cards that morning and made perfectly sure that I would be turning in the REAL report card to Mrs. McBroom that morning in class. After checking one last time before handing in my REAL report card, I was sure to get this one over on both my parents and Mrs. McBroom again. Mrs. McBroom called me out in class to inform me that I did not turn in the right report card. How could this have happened? I checked several times!!! After begging her not to tell my parents and begging her to PLEASE give it back and I would give her the REAL one, - SHE REFUSED!!! So, I HAD to resort to other measures. When Mrs. McBroom walked into the closet that morning, I do not know what came over me, but I shut her in the closet and held her in there!!! I told her that the only way out was to give me the report card. She said she would think about it. Later that day, I was called to the principal's office, Mr. Trawick. I was wondering how could Mrs. McBroom do this to me. As I walked into the office and sat down, Mr. Trawick said, "Would you like to tell me what you did?" I ALMOST confessed about the report card and locking Mrs. McBroom in the closet, but right before I did, Mr. Trawick laughed and said, "You have a late library book." I almost told it all right there!!! At the end of the year, Mrs. McBroom mailed my report CARDS home with a note that said, "Mr. and Mrs. Hale, Thought you might want to see what Teresa's REAL report card looked like."
I passed for the year and how could a parent get mad about that one anyway?
