Richard Bingham - Class Of 1974

Richard (Rick) A. Bingham, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at his home in Binghamton, N.Y. Rick was born in Auburn, N.Y. the son of the late Judson A. and Rita E. Bingham.

Rick grew up on the west side of Auburn, and cherished the many lifelong friendships he made while growing up there. He was a member of the West End and Friends group and was able to see several of his friends one last time at their gathering in 2016.

Rick will always be remembered for his musical talent as a vocalist, musician and songwriter, as well as for being a terrific bowler. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1981. For the past 15 years he lived in Binghamton, N.Y. and was devoted to his wife Linda and her children Tyler, Jennifer, Tiffany and grandchildren.

Rick was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his six surviving siblings, Judy Shutter and Nancy Shuster (Bill) of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Sharon Duffy (Bill) of Lady Lake, FL, Debbi Lovell and Bobbi Bingham of Auburn, and Bruce Bingham (Dena) of Sterling, N.Y. and many nieces and nephews that held a very special place in his heart. Rick was predeceased by two siblings; Marshall E. Bingham and Candace M. Patterson and two brothers-in-law Bill Shutter and Bill Lovell.

 There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at St. Mary's Church, 15 Clark St. Auburn. The family will greet visitors following the Mass in the church.
