Allen Markley - Class Of 1976

 

Allen Duane Markley, 51, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Allen was born in Auburn, and along with his large family, attended St. John"s Episcopal Church where he and his brother served as acolytes. In his youth, Allen was a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 13 and played youth league baseball. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. He is survived by his father, Allen Lloyd Markley, of Auburn; and his mother, Lucille Chisholm-Brewer, of Rockwell, N.C. He is also survived by two brothers, Jim Markley, of Pomona, Calif., and William Paul Markley, of Moorpark, Calif.; four sisters, Susan English and her husband, Paul, of Auburn, Karen Allison and her husband, Kelly, of Capistrano Beach, Calif., Tia Zuraf and her husband, Kevin, of Cornelius, N.C., and Jolene Jones-Falcone, of Goldhill, N.C.; 16 nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy, in 1990; and his stepfather, William Brewer. Memorial services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2, in St. Luke"s Chapel at SS. Peter & John Church, Genesee Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Worship Center, 18 E. Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021.
