Mr. Miller was born in Syracuse,attended school in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School where he played football and lacrosse. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1982 with a degree in mechanical engineering and also played football there .He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the American Society of Heating Engineers. Mr. Miller was Sales Engineer for the Trane co. Pittsburgh.
