Lee was never a friend of mine, but I have one memory of him that, although fading as the years go by, is lasting still.

It was the last day of school at Cascade Junior High.  The weather was nice, and there was a huge amount of activity outside around the running track.  Suddenly, there's Lee with a motorcycle!  Where did that come from?  Before anyone of any authority could do anything, he was out there flat-tracking his motorcycle around the track just as fast as he could go.  I was in awe.  That was always my favorite motorsport, and here was a classmate hanging it out around the cinder track.  We all loved it.  Unfortunately, the faculty did not.

I hope you get lots of riding time where you're at, Lee.  No speed limits, man.

I remember that day as well. Several of us decided to ride to school the last day of 9th grade. We wound up in the hills above Cascade Jr. having a blast, maybe 6 or 7 of us. Didn't get to see the big BSA 441 blast around the running track although our ride that day didn't go over very well and the track laps didn't help that is for sure. I haven't seen Lee much since then...have a great ride Lee...will miss you.
