Dear Classmates,

It’s hard to believe that we have been out of high school for a quarter of a century!!! Incredibly, 25 years have passed since we walked across the field on graduation night at AHS to shake the hand of William Boykin and receive our diplomas.

So, Class of 1984, it’s time to celebrate our 25th Reunion!!! Please plan to join your classmates for a weekend of Bloodhound Spirit. The Reunion Committee has been meeting over the past several months and planning a weekend of activities.

Friday evening, July 31st, we will gather for an informal “social hour” at Beef O’Brady’s in downtown Auburndale.

Saturday, August 1st, is the big event! Reunion at the Ariana Beach Clubhouse. Dinner will be catered by Texas Cattle Company, we will have a DJ playing our favorite 80’s tunes, cash bar, and a photographer to capture all the special memories of a night that is sure to be remembered for years to come.

Sunday, August 2nd, we hope you will join us once more for a Family Picnic at the Lake Ariana Yacht Club. Pack your cooler with “picnic fixins” (don’t’ forget the sunscreen)........this is a “BYO everything” event…the yacht club is air-conditioned, indoor seating, restrooms, and ice is available.

Registration information and event times will be posted on our website @ AuburndaleSenior1984.com. So please check periodically for updates. The cost of Saturday night’s Reunion is $60 per person and checks can be made to Auburndale High School Class of 1984 and mailed to PO Box 184, Auburndale, FL, 33823. There will be a link on our website for payment via PayPal. After 6/1/09, the cost will be $75 per person…so please RSVP early. The deadline for the caterer is 6/30/09. Even if you will not be able to attend, please register online so that we have your updated profile.

The photographer will be creating Memory Books which will be available for purchase (can be ordered on-line or on the night of the Reunion). The cost is $25 and we need at least 50 purchases to cover the expense. Go to www.photomemorybooks.com/examples.php to take a look at the samples they have posted. 

If you need hotel accommodations, Best Western on Hwy 92 in Auburndale has a discounted room rate of $89.99 for a standard room. The phone # is 863-551-3400…just mention “AHS reunion”.

If any of you would like to make donations of cash, door prizes, or sponsor the ticket price for one of our former teachers, it would be greatly appreciated.  There is a donation like on the home page.  Or contact a member of the Reunion Committee.

Also, if you are interested in sharing some of your special photos for a memory board, please send them to the address above (FYI…we will not be able to return the pix).

We would especially like to honor our classmates who have served in the military and those who are deceased. Classmates whom have registered on our website will be receiving this letter on-line.
