I don't know if this is true, but I've been told by a couple of different sources that he was involved in a love triangle and the boyfriend caught him with the girl. Quiet and sweet Lonnie, who would have thought it.
Lonnie committed suicide, after he killed the boyfiend and the girlfriend. This happen just before our 10 year reunion. we were all shocked when we heard the news. It was so sad.
I remember having PE with Lonnie. He was such a great guy. When he signed my yearbook, he also drew a picture next to his signature. He was such a great artist. It is something I will always cherish.
Love is very powerful and sometimes we as humans bite off more than we can chew and our brains can't handle it as reality. This story makes me sad. Lonnie was a nice guy and he was not in his right mind , I'm sure. God bless his family and the family of the others involved. I'm sure he would take it back if he could. This is just very sad.
This is a very sad event in our class history. I like many of you heard that there was an issue of the heart and he felt he could not overcome it. I remember him creating the PEA-JIA comic book for me. He had such talent. The world is a little less bright without him in it. Rest In Peace my friend.
