Our 50-year Reunion Was On October 21-22, 2011!

Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel in Austin  (6121 North I H 35).

  • Friday, October 21:
    • Informal mixer, 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., Crowne Plaza. Registration and reception with Hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Dress: casual. (Can sign up here for Saturday school tour and lunch.)
       
  • Saturday, October 22:
    • McCallum HS tour, 10 - 11 a.m., 5600 Sunshine Drive. Take a tour of our old McCallum high school
    • Lunch at Threadgill's, 12 noon - 1:30 p.m., 6416 N. Lamar, 12:00 - 2pm. After the tour, have lunch with your old classmates. (Attendees pay for themselves.)
    • Band Practice (Tentative, for band members), 1:00-3:00 at Minco (same place) 1803 Rutherford Lane. See also the McCallum Band Page.
    • 50-Year Reunion with Dinner, 6:00 p.m. - Midnight, Crowne Plaza Hotel. Registration and distribution of alumni booklet. Dress: some are coming casual, others plan to get 'gussied up.' Both are fine.
      • 6:00-7:30: Fiesta Dinner Buffet and cash bar
      • 7:30-7:45: Memorial - Gone But not Forgotten Classmates
      • 7:45-8:00: Drawing for great door prizes
      • 8:00-8:30: Our Own McCallum Band!
      • 8:30-9:00: The Slades
      • 9:00-12am: Music and Dancing, Real Oldies but Real Goodies
         
  • Special Saturday-night appearance by the nationally known band of McCallum alumni, The Slades!

To attend the reunion,

  • First, register (see below) to put yourself on the Planning-to-Attend list

  • Second, purchase one or more reunion tickets. (See Items For Sale, below.) This covers your admission to the reunion events themselves. Both credit cards and checks are accepted for payment. ['Ticket' means that your name is on the paid admission list at the reunion check-in.]

  • (Optional) If you are coming from out of town and would like to stay in the reunion hotel, reservations available at this link. (If you call the 800#, ask for group code MCC.) You do not need a room at the hotel to attend the reunion. 

Join your classmates for a fun weekend.  Here is the current list of attendees, most of whom are bringing a companion.  We hope to see you there!
