I will always remember Jacob as one of the funniest guys in school. He could always make people laugh. And even if he got in trouble for it he made alot of people smile.

Jake and I had a very love hate relationship. Always arguing, but always trying to see the other person's point of view. T-Bone Brown and I went out to his grave a few times and drank some shiners...a sad but good memory. I know it was hard for everyone because Jake was such a good guy, but I know that it was most difficult for the people that were with him on that skiing trip. I feel for them and his family the most. Every 17th of December I try to stop for a moment and think about what an intelligent and charismatic guy he was. I know that he is sorely missed and that many will think of him in the years to come. Cheers Jake.

Howdy,

I remember when the sad day occured.  I also remember seeing Jacob frequently all over campus and off campus as a student at Texas A&M University, College Station. He was usually with D.J. Pendleton as well.

However, I did attend the Siver Taps Ceremony as a Cadet Freshman in the Aggie Band at Texas A&M University, College Station Texas.  I also made sure I was also at the Aggie Celebration to hear his family member call out his name and say, "Here."

Those two events event made me realize how precious life is and how much I need to make the best of my every day life before my Heavenly Father take me home.   He was a fine Mc Neil HS classmate and a true Texas Aggie at heart!

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr. Rebecek.
