Jamie Balagia

I played football at Blinn Junior College (Blindergarden is what we called it) and then went to SWTSU and majored in partying. I got my Criminal Justice degree in 1978 and worked for a year in Brenham as a patrol officer before joining APD in 1979.
I worked for APD until I entered UT Law School in 1990. I got sidetracked with alcohol and drug problems in 1988, went to treatment to hide out but God found me there and I've been a Jesus Freak since May 9, 1988.
I finished law school in 1992 and opened up my own office right away. I have worked on a number of high profile cases since then and about seven years ago I started marketing myself as the "DWI Dude" at dwidude.com and began concentrating on DWI, alcohol and drug related cases. I was getting hired to take cases to trial from Georgetown to New Braunfels on the I35 corridor.
Four years ago I opened another office in San Antonio after getting hired on a number of cases there. I have three lawyers manning the Austin office (Manor) and one attorney in the San Antonio office. I travel up and down I35 working cases out of both offices.
I attend Cornerstone Church in San Antonio and have a house in both areas to sleep in when I can. We have a Bible study in our San Antonio house every Wednesday night and realy enjoy doing that.

- Going to San Antonio with a bunch of friends to see Grand Funk Railroad live and making it back alive.
