Reunion Review

Patterson Class of 61 Reunion Soirée

Over 115 Patterson High graduates and guests attended their 50th year reunion, at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Timonium, MD, on June 4, 2011.

Arriving from as far away as Washington State, Arizona, and Florida graduates returned and reunited with remembered friends and met new ones. After registration, collecting, and making peace with our yearbook photo badges, we socialized with light refreshments.

Just prior to dinner, we gathered for our official group photo. In the main ballroom, following a brief welcoming, recognition of Pattersonites who served in the military, introduction of class officers and reunion committee members, we sang (encouraged by Clipper choir members) our Alma Mater.

We were delighted that Ms. June Danaher (our class sponsor) was able to join us for this grand occasion. The buffet was praised for the variety of tastes and selection including desert and coffee.

The room became enlivened even more, with classmates floating table to table, reacquainting with old friends, making new ones while cameras flashing away to capture fond memories. A core group stayed till the early hours reminiscing and sharing untold stories from past days at Patterson. Did you know that…..?? Well, you had to be there. Some of us met for morning brunch, farewells and agreeing to gather again before too long.

Highlights:
• Trying to ID our photo badges from the yearbook
• Recognizing our long time friends
• Seeing June Danaher
• Sharing dinner with familiar and new friends
• Sharing stories from Patterson past
• Updating our lives since graduation
• Singing our Alma Mater once more with our fellow Clippers
