Comments:

I attended Millard in the '73-'74 session with Mr Wohleb-Math, Mrs Millard-English, and Caldwell-PE. I remember Caldwell had a great sports car and kept 2 large plastic containers of gas in the back; claimed he could go two days without having to stop.

I increased my SAT scores dramatically to 710 English and 770 Math. Got into USAFA, but left for personal reasons late '74. Went to San Diego State and got in the ROTC program as the sole pilot candidate. Graduated '78, distinguished graduate in ROTC. Had a good career and retired in 2001 as LtCol as the Chief of Antiterrorism at HQ USAF.

Worked as a contractor at ANSER, Inc., working on Combatting Terrorism for Joint Staff, and Homeland Security issues for NSA and DOD working with the foundering beginnings of DHS. Finally ended up working at DHS running their Operations Center for a few years and then retired.

School Story:

No big stories for my time at Millard. We had the standard issues with curfew and the like. We had one guy, can't remember his name, that could do magic with a soccer ball...stop on a dime, change directions in an instant, pop it over his head as he ran down the field.

A group of us started a silent drill team while there; never put on a show, mostly for something to do other than go down to the beach and watch the logs roll around in the surf!
