After graduating I attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee for a whole semester. Ha Ha! Yeah, the nuns and I didn't quite get along. I know, big surprise. So I ended up back with good old Ron and Karen and going to BCC. Enough was enough, so I headed up to UMD and after a year of that and finally deciding what area of art I wanted to go into, I settled in at UWS and got my art teaching degree. My first job landed me in the big town of Siren and that is where I met my now husband. No love at first site here, we hated each other when we first met. But because of mutual friends, we obviously changed our tune. In 1999, I got a new job in St. Croix Falls High School and in the summer of 2000 we got married. Wanting to start a family and not getting pregnant, we started the adoption process and in the fall of 2007 we were blessed with our son, Nolan. Once all was final with him, we started the process over and again were blessed, this time it was a girl. In winter of 2007 we got Sarah.
We, Darrell, I, Nolan, Sarah, and our dog Lilly, now reside in Frederic, Wisconsin. I used to coach basketball and softball, but since the kids came into the picture, I have stopped. I know I will get back into when the kids are bigger because I miss it. I am the yearbook and Student Council Advisor. Never thought I would be back at school, but I love what I do.
