Crissy was a full-time student at the University of Memphis, where she was pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry.  She participated in a student fellowship for research at KU (University of Kansas in Lawrence) during the summers of 2001 and 2002.  She also completed research for biochemistry at the University of Memphis in 2003. She was engaged to her fiancee at the time, Joseph Clara.  She loved to play tennis, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.  Her favorite trip was the one to Sydney, Australia with her sister Jennifer (Dec 2000-Jan 2001) where she took electives for a couple of sports marketing classes.  Crissy's hopes for the future was to apply for medical school or participate biochemical research for a graduate program.  She would love to raise Ovarian cancer awareness to all since she was diagnosed in 2003.
