Dear Capitol Sr. High School Alumnus:

Our Multi-Year Class Reunion is quickly approaching and will be held the weekend of June 11, 12, & 13th 2010. Please mark your calendars and start making plans to attend. We’re working really hard to make this a fun and relaxing reunion and we’d like to see as many classmates as possible! You may not have graduated. You may have only attended very briefly. You may have left the school for personal reasons….no matter the resolution, you are a part of and will always be a part of the CHS family.

We are planning the weekend as a “Lions’ Den” event! Kicking off, we have arranged for an informal get together on Friday Evening starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Lyceum Dean Ballroom, Downtown on 3rd St. We have a really nice spot reserved just for us, but we also have access to mix and mingle with the rest of the Baton Rouge night life in the building. Proper attire is required. Finger food will be provided. Everybody gets in free before 8:30, so please don’t be tardy for the party!!!

The Saturday Night festivities, or the “Gala”, will be held at the Prince Hall Temple Building at 1335 North Blvd. This will be an After 5 attire event – so please feel free to dress to impress. We will have wonderful food and beverages, lots of time for reminiscing, getting reacquainted, dancing, and having fun with many of your old classmates and friends.

The Sunday Morning activity, or the Sunday Service, will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church at 11 a.m., where we will worship not only with recent alumnae, but also with those who have helped pave the way for our CHS experiences and continue to stand in the gap both financially and prayerfully for our school and its future. We will be recognized as alumnus of Capitol Sr. High School and it is expected of us that we sit together as a group. A donation will be presented to the church on our behalf.

The Sunday Afternoon activity, or the Picnic, will be held at the Greenwood Estates BREC Park (Subject to change) off Foster Road at 3:00 pm. Bring the entire family as we have the last event of the weekend that will consist of a co-ed class softball tournament, a DJ, old school cheer-leaders, catered food, a crawfish boil, spacewalks…need we say more?

FEES: The cost of the Reunion is 150.00 dollars Per Alumnus. The Friday night mixer, The Gala on Saturday night, and all of activities on Sunday are included in your registration - minus the drinks –everyone will be buying their own beverages. This will also include your souvenir and your T-Shirt. Please make all checks payable to: CHS ALL CLASS REUNION and return with your profile form – as soon as possible! Deadline for your 1st deposit of $75.00 is March 19th, 2010. The 2nd deposit of $75.00 is due by April 16, 2010. If you are unable to attend the reunion, we would still like to include you in our future reunions, so please complete the form either way. If you’re not attending and would like a souvenir and a t-shirt, please send $40.00 (to cover printing and postage) along with your completed Profile Form.

We have a class reunion website: www.capitolhighalumni.com You may fill out your form online and submit your registration fee through PayPal or you may submit it all by mail. Please check the website periodically for updates and information (and pictures!) as the reunion date grows closer.
We plan to have a presentation featuring classmates and/or their families for everyone’s viewing pleasure. If you would like to send pictures via email – please send them to ipegraphics@yahoo.com. You can also mail them to the address below. (Please include a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the pictures returned to you.)

While we’re still planning, we’d like to know of any activities you would like us to try to arrange. Some ideas being tossed around are a “Capitol Talent Show” as a fundraiser. Let us know if these interest you/your family or maybe what YOU might like to see happen if these don’t appeal to you. For planning purposes, please return suggestions by March 6th.
