ST. GEORGE, S.C. - Dennis L. Young, age 57, of St. George passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011, at his home. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Mr. Young's residence, 210 Knotty Oak Drive, St. George, SC 29477, with Steve Stone officiating. He was born May 31, 1953, a son of the late Donald B. and Jewel A. Cole Young in Beckley, WV, where he spent a lot of his earlier years in the hills hiking, exploring and enjoying the many hours in the cabin that he and his mother built in the backyard on Glen Avenue. He was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School where he was a member of the marching band. Prior to his retirement in 2010 he served as the Power Operations and Services Manager at the DuPont / DAK Americas Cooper River Site. Survivors include his sister, Bonita A. Williams and her husband, Stuart, of Daniels, WV, brothers Dana B. Young of Greenville, SC, Ronald L. Young and his wife Susan of King, NC; nieces and nephews Trisa Farrish, Teri Lyn Boutilier, James Richard Young, Courtney Lyn Boutilier, and Megan Paige Boutilier; and his former wife Rhoda Young of North Charleston. The family loves and appreciates Dennis's best friend Marshall Hutto and his wife Rosie and his caregiver Ezekiel Haynes for their acts of kindness. Memorials may be made to the Francis R.
