Linda D. Johnson departed this life on April 11, 2009, at the Plateau Medical Center. She was born Linda D. Torian on Dec. 12, 1957, in Beckley, W.Va., to the late Earl Brice and Mary Lou Torian. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Beckley, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and she held several jobs in West Virginia, Columbus, Ohio, and Killeen, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Valinda Lewis (Elder A.C. Lewis Sr.), of San Antonio, Texas, and three grandchildren, Aysia, Anthony Jr. and Aalijah, all of San Antonio, Texas; six siblings, Marylene Larkin of Chicago, Ill., Wilburt Torian, Alberta Johnson, Maxine Torian and Carol Torian, all of Cleveland, Ohio, Michael Torian of Beckley; one niece raised as her sister, Cynthia Torian of Cleveland, Ohio; two aunts, Fannie Johnson of Beckley, and Shirley Fox of Boston, Mass.; a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at First Baptist Church of North Beckley, with Pastor Rev. James Cox and Elder A.C. Lewis Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church, North Beckley.
