Mr. Jeffrey L. Stewart, 48, of 305 Russell Street, Beckley, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 13, 2009, following a long illness. He was born May 26, 1960, to the late James Stewart, Sr. and Betty Jean Saunders Stewart. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He was in the Army and was a long time employee of Heartland of Beckley as an Admissions Director. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, James Stewart, Sr. and a sister, Cathy Whitehead. Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty Jean Stewart of Beckley; a daughter, Aisha Geraughty of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Tyra Brown, Tania Brown, and Tamya Brown of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother, James Stewart, Jr. of Fishersville, VA; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2009, at Durgan Funeral Chapel, 1501 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV, with Pastor Ruby Berry officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley, WV. Viewing and visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
