James Andrew Starr, 55, passed away on July 14, 2006, from a long illness. He was born on September 24, 1950, to Virginia Dare Walker and Howard A. Starr. Jim graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1970. After high school he served four years in the Air Force; after his return from service, he worked for the Southern Railroad in Alexandria, Va. Later, he was a construction worker in Orlando, Fla. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Starr of Rockland, MA; father and stepmother, Howard and Henrietta Starr of Palm Bay, Fla.; sister, Marsha Starr of Hamlin, WV; stepbrother, Clinton Pennington of Palm Bay, Fla.; stepsister, Cheryl Pennington and Nila Porter of Mabscott, Charlotte Helmick of Azle, Texas, and Robin Hendershot of Orlando, Fla.; aunt, Charlotte Lilly of Beckley; and special cousins, Rhonda Allard and her daughters, Jennifer and Rachel of Orlando, Fla.; during his illness, Jim lived for several years with Rhonda and her daughters. No services are planned at this time.
