Mark Stephen Dorsey, 48, of 1161 Grandview Road, Daniels, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Interstate 64 near East Beckley following injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Born Nov. 8, 1954, in Raleigh County, he was the son of Fred Dorsey and Etheline Pate Dorsey of Daniels. Mr. Dorsey was former owner of Champion Motors at Daniels and presently was employed as a salesman at C&O Motors in St. Albans. He attended Crow Baptist Church and was a member of Beckley Lodge No. 16041, Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a 1972 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Marshall University. He was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy, in 1966. Other than his parents, he is survived by a brother, Gary Dorsey of Daniels; a sister, Melody Sears and her husband, James, of Daniels; and nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, Jessica Harris, Chelsea Dorsey, Scott Harris and Chris Fotos. Service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Dennis Burks officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Pate, Johnny Pate, Richard Pate, Daniel Foley, Donnie Chambers, Chris Foley and James Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Pate, Jim Pate, Rob Pate, Tom Pate, David Quesenberry, Jerry Zaferatos and Lowell Foley. Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley.
