OLDSMAR, Fla. - James H. "Jim" McGinnis, 49, formerly of Beckley, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at his home. Born Oct. 14, 1952, at Johnson Air Base, Japan, he was the son of Louise McGinnis of Beckley and the late James A. McGinnis. Mr. McGinnis spent his childhood in Mullens. He moved to Beckley in 1967 and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1970. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in 1975. He was a business partner at Human Touch Inc. in Beckley for five years prior to moving to Stuart, Fla., in 1985. He enjoyed a long career in sales and management in the health care industry. He moved to Clearwater, Fla., in 1992, where he most recently worked as an account executive for Coffman Capital Inc. He was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church and East Lake Woodlands Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Sally Maiden McGinnis; a son, Garrett McGinnis, and two daughters, Megan McGinnis and Jillian McGinnis, all of Oldsmar; a sister, Jo Humphrey of Durham, N.C.; a brother, Dallas McGinnis of Williamson; and two nieces. Memorial service was Sept. 13 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, Safety Harbor, Fla. Donations of sympathy may be made to the McGinnis Family Fund, c/o D.
