BLUFF CITY, Tenn. — Susan J. Soltes, 48, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Beckley, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She moved to Bluff City in 1985 and was an active member of the PTA at Avoca Elementary School. Mrs. Soltes enjoyed working in her flower garden and dedicated her life to helping others, especially children. Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Soltes; her daughter, Rhegan Soltes; her son, Hunter Soltes, all of the home; her mother, Patricia DeHart Brammer of Beckley; her sisters, Brenda Thorne and her husband Tom of Beckley, and Sara Barber and her husband John of Baltimore, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home, 2223 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, Tenn. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the Paul Cook Memorial Chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with Mr. Bob Robinson, minister, officiating.
