Preston DeHart* - Class Of 1978

Mr. Preston DeHart, 47, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Preston was born October 19, 1960 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Bernard Edward DeHart and the late Barbara Broyles DeHart. He had lived in the Bristol area since 1985 where he had been employed with Dana Corporation. Preston enjoyed bowling, golfing, and camping. He is survived by two daughters, Ashley DeHart of Bristol, Tennessee, Amanda DeHart of Abingdon, Virginia and their mother, Sandy DeHart of Bristol, Virginia, one grandson; John Paul “J.P.” Eads of Abingdon, Virginia. One brother, Eddie DeHart of Abingdon, Virginia and two sisters, Debbie Hahn and husband, Brad of Abingdon, Virginia and Teresa England and husband, Clyde of Bristol, Virginia. Special friend, Freda Stillwell, of Tazewell, Virginia and he is also survived by a niece and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 P.M. on Sunday, May18, 2008 at Farris Cremation and Funeral Center located at 19415 Lee Highway Abingdon, Virginia 24210 (located on the grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens). The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 3 P.M. until time for service. Honorary pallbearers will be David “Dirty” Roberts, Tim Caudell, Scott Kiser, and Brad Bingham.
