RANSON -- Laurent "Ralph" Cordas, 48, formerly of Beckley, went to be with Keith Bailey and all God's angels on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at his home due to a sudden illness. Born Aug. 3, 1956, in France, he was the son of the late Morris G. and Mary L. Cordas of Beckley. Ralph had been a machine operator with Berryville Graphics Co. Before moving to Ranson, Ralph lived and worked in the Beckley area and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1974. He enjoyed hunting, playing golf and was a dedicated NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife, Deborah K. Cordas; a brother, Jimmy Cordas and his wife, Karen, of Farmersville, Ohio; and a nephew, James Jr. Ralph touched the hearts of everyone who knew him and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Service will be 11 a.m. today at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Burial will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery.
