James Hawley* - Class Of 1973

James Hawley, 51, of Crab Orchard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006. Born Feb. 1, 1955, he was the son of Earl and Edith Hawley. James enjoyed go-kart racing, NASCAR and golfing. He was a 1973 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Beckley College. James was the owner of Snap-On-Tools franchises in Southern West Virginia. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. James is preceded in death by his father, Earl. Those left to cherish his memory included his wife, Cheryl Hawley; son, James Hawley and wife, Christina, of Charleston; daughter, Andrea Radford and husband, Matt, of Beckley; sister, Sandy Jarrell and husband, Jeff, of Alabama; brother, John Hawley and wife, Debbie, of Wyoming; mother, Edith Hawley of Beckley; and a grandchild, James Christian Hawley of Charleston. Memorial service for the celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at First United Methodist Church, 217 S. Heber St., Beckley, with Dr. Robert Stoddard officiating.
