In loving memory of Karen Ann Domby who passed on Monday, July 5th, 2010. May Heaven find a special place for her. She was 48 years of age. Born on November 8th, 1961, she was one of four children born to Joseph and Elizabeth Kujbus Domby. Karen joins her father, Joseph, and brother Joe Anthony in Heaven. Karen spent 20 years in Beckley, growing up on Patterson Street in Prosperity, attending St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and Parochial School, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. A graduate of Marshall University, Karen enjoyed a long teaching career in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She loved the beach life in Jacksonville which was only second to spending time with her two nieces, Sara and Amy. In addition to her loving mother, Elizabeth, and her devoted nieces, Sara and Amy Domby, she leaves to cherish her memory her beloved brothers, Mark Domby and his wife, Cathy, and Stefan Domby and his wife, Kathy. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17th, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church with Monsignor Samuel Sacus as the celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral Mass. A private burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Sunset Memorial Park. May She Rest in Peace.
